Every dollar raised from membership and fundraising efforts goes directly back into Duncan Library to enhance its collection and support critical programming, such as summer reading initiatives for children, author talks, and other literacy-promoting activities.
Money raised by the Friends primarily supplements Duncan Library’s materials and programming budgets.
Friends of Duncan Library is a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.

Donations can be left on carts inside the the parking lot or street side doors at Duncan Library.

Nonfiction and fiction books
Adult (hardcover & paperback)
Children (board, picture, & chapter)
Young Adult (hardcover & paperback)
Spanish language books
Vintage books
Textbooks (less than five years old)
Puzzles (all puzzle pieces in bag and box)
Materials we cannot use (please recycle instead)
Encyclopedias, hardback dictionaries, yearbooks, atlases and maps
Publishers’ advance reading copies (ARCs)
Newspapers/newsletters, magazines, and professional journals
VHS/audio cassette tapes and records
DVDs, CDs, Blu-Rays
Outdated (older than 5 years) finance, business, wellness, parenting, health, travel, computer, technology, and medical books
